It's been a while since my last post and the reason is I was in Finland on holiday. I can't say how happy I was to be back, it's been almost a year since I was back home. "Home" - it's funny how you all of a sudden have two homes. I went back home to Finland, but I am home right now as well, in Bogotá. Anyways, we went together with Mateo and we were so busy all the time I feel like we would have needed a week more just to be able to breath a bit before starting the daily routines. We tried to see all my friends, all my family and visit as many places as possible but with only three weeks it's impossible. Next time I know I won't be the one running around, I will stay at one place and I can invite people to come visit me :)
The first week we started off by staying with my sister and her boyfriend in their new house in Borgå, which is located 50 km outside Helsinki, the capital of Finland. Borgå is one of the oldest cities in Finland, and there you can find a lot of history. The old part of the city is amazing to walk around, a lot of small shops and beautiful pastel coloured houses. We also stayed a few days in Helsinki before heading off to Åland, which is a big island located between Finland and Sweden. We went to Åland with a group of friends, it's become a tradition. Every year there is a music festival, Rockoff, which attracts a lot of people and for us it's a must-do in the summer. Åland is known to be the perfect place to go in the summer, it's green and calm and surrounded by ocean and fresh air.
